7 Tips for Better Social Media Marketing For Your Business

As social media becomes on trend, you have to use it for your advantage in marketing for your business. So in this video and article, I will cover 7 Tips for Better Social Media Marketing For Your Business.

  1. Post Native Content

A lot of people in social media, when they wanted social media marketing for their business, they just want to put a picture of their product, which is really not a good idea. People don’t just want to see the product that you’re selling, tendency is they will just get pass through it. The best thing is to do is to hook your viewers with whatever you post or whatever you’re doing in social media. One of the best example is Pinterest. If you will just show your product there, people will surely not pin it but if they will be engaged, like probably a DIY or more ideas on a specific content than the product itself, they will more likely pin it because it engages the consumer and it’s interesting.

  1. Jab Jab Jab Right Hook

Jab Jab Jab Right Hook is a book written by Gary Vaynerchuk.  The goal of this is you wanted to give more helpful content and then eventually ask for the sale in return. You have to make sure that it will be worthy for people to follow you on social media. If you just keep on asking them to buy stuff, eventually they will unfollow you because that is somehow annoying. Why you wanna do this? It is because you want people coming back to your site, and you want them to watch out what’s coming up next on your post.  So if it happens that your next post is a promotion or a giveaway, those people are more likely to be engaged.

Jab Jab Jab Right Hook is an amazing book and I highly recommend it.

  1. Post About Customers

Human nature, we wanted to be appreciated. So why not post your customer’s photos, and their stuff, things like that so they will feel appreciated. Also, one of the things that you can do is have users use #hashtags. This is a strategy that you can use to increase your engagement with people. You can probably ask them to use a specific #hashtag if they purchase your product or you may want to repost their photo if they use this hashtag. The goal is you want people to post using your hashtag because it is representing your brand.  Contests are great engagement as well with your customers.  Ask them to post their pictures, and using this specific hashtag and whoever gets the most number of likes will probably get a reward or a freebie coming from you because everybody just wants to win.

  1. Link Back To Your Site

The main reason why you are on social media doing your marketing is of course, SALES. You wanted to earn money so you have to make sure it as easy as possible for the users to get a link back to your site.  One example is add a link on your Instagram site, make it trackable so you can track and manage the numbers of people clicking on your link. You can check out my other video about 301 redirect, or simply making Instagram Link Clicks Trackable in Google Analytics.

  1. Look To Competitors

If you  have bigger competitor, chances are they have bigger budgets than you, meaning to say, they might be better at social media marketing. So you might be able to get some ideas from them and maybe do something similar to attract more audience. Also, another thing you can do, is check on similar sites that your audience is visiting and check on their social media sites so you can get some ideas to help you out market your own business.

  1. Brand Your Posts

Never forget to brand your posts. It is very important to use hashtags on posts. The image or video you uploaded may go viral, and people will just forget who you are if you won’t brand it. Bu if they see your brand right on the image, they will know that it is originally from you and they will surely recognize your brand.

  1. See What’s Popular.

People always follow the trend, so you have to make sure you see what’s popular and you are ahead of it. One of the tool that I recommend and I personally use is Buzz Sumo. Through that tool, you can pop in the URL of your competitor and sites similar to you. The tool will look into their social media accounts and tell you what they’ve done, and what became popular and you can probably do something similar to that.

Lastly, never forget to ask your followers or subscribers. Ask them to like, to share or to subscribe and make sure to emphasize what it benefits them.
