In this video I’m going to give you the number one Shopify secret for 2018. So there’s a lot of different things that I could say is the number one secret but I narrowed it down to what I think the top one is but also share some of the other ones throughout the video. So the first secret if you haven’t started a Shopify site which a lot of people watching this video you probably haven’t like statistically you probably haven’t started the Shopify site yet the number one secret for you is just get it up just put something up and if you haven’t put a site up yet I’ll have a special tip trick hack for you at the end of the video but I’m gonna assume that you’re already have signed up or you’re ready to sign up and you want like what is the secret to more success in 2018.

The number one secret it really hasn’t changed and that’s the interesting thing between 2017 and 2018 since the dawn of time in a lot of ways it hasn’t changed what it is is you need to niche down you need to build a tribe you need to build a customer base that is gonna be loyal and follow you I mean this goes back all the way to thousand eighteen years ago back to the days of Jesus he didn’t he didn’t say hey my message is for everyone at first what did he do he said hey if your you went to the poor people he went to the you know the beat down the the broken people in society and said hey don’t worry about it there’s gonna be a better afterlife and you know this isn’t a religious I don’t I don’t care what your opinion is on a religious but it’s pretty insane that this one guy started such a big movement and then eventually it went into hire wealthier and wealthier people. So use that same strategy you when you’re starting a store niche down build the type of people around you build a group of Advocates that love your brand. So much that they’re willing to spread the word they’re gonna post photos on Instagram about you they’re gonna post photos you know on their Pinterest and their Facebook page they’re gonna write recipes if you have a nut butter product like I happened you are a food product they’re gonna post it on Pinterest you want to build a group of fans that are dedicated to you that really love what you’re doing and you really want to niche down.

If you go and your target demographic is everybody then nobody’s gonna buy from you I just got off a consultation session with a girl who had a great idea it was a pair of socks I’m not gonna go over the specific niche but it was extremely niche town and the people in her niche had money to spend and. So she was able to charge more money she was charging around $20 per socks and it’s only costing her $2.50 per sock now her friends are telling her oh you should go after a wider demographic no don’t do that start very small and then once you’ve dominated that niche grow out I see way too many people trying to start another crappy dropshipping site or another crappy site where you sell everything amazon’s already beaten you to it don’t get sucked into that if you’re gonna sell something sell something really niche down really specific really awesome and build a brand because that’s something that’s very hard for people to replicate other people could make socks just like this lady did but no one’s gonna have the same brand as her she has a head start.
