Day 18. So a lot of big things happen on day 18 I do have to admit this day specifically I found myself pretty anxious pretty overwhelmed in it you know it’s hard to tell love you don’t talk about that’s part of it but you know we’re starting an Ecommerce business or starting any kind of business or doing anything cool you’re going to get a lot of anxiety a lot of worries and anyone that says that they don’t well either they’re a mutant a freak an amazing person or B it’s coming or C they’re just straight up lying and I mean I don’t talk about this a lot just because it’s not necessarily a fun part of the whole thing and you get over it I mean you do that’s the whole thing you need to get over that anxiety that here but I found myself a little bit more paralyzed today than most days but I did do some good things I did some really good things one thing I find that I do when I get overwhelmed anxious is I write just lift um which is a little OCD I guess of myself but I would definitely not consider myself OCD if you could see my apartment most the time you know on that specifically OCD but the other thing I did and that was actually going through and writing out the whole calendar of what is what I’m going to do basically up until the launch.

I have the launch day right here May 4th and then I kind of go backwards and forwards at the same time I mean a lot of times people will say just you know straight up work backwards and I think that’s valuable but I also think it’s valuable to you having your head things that you need to do. So and. So I kind of kind of go both ways you know what I mean. So I start off on April this was you know this is April 4th. So I looked at that or I mean that’s when I started writing is April th and then I said here you know the most important things that I know I need to get done right away now I also at the same time went to May 4th and I knew okay I need to have the Kickstarter page ready I need have the video ready I need to have the jar sent out to the influencers I need to have all this stuff done okay holy crap I’m going to get all that done well let’s see the jars for the influencers I know what I have to send jars to the influencers and I want them to get it at least a week or two ahead of time well that means that I need to get two jars a few days before I send it to them and I need to get the labels for the jars and I need to get the addresses for the for the labels and just you start like really calculating all this stuff and it becomes a little overwhelming but at the same time it helps just to kind of write it out plan it out and I think there was a Montgomery.

I’m blanking on his first name the general world war ii general it’ll come to me later but Montgomery who basically said that and I’m gonna paraphrase here but basically plans are worthless planning is indispensable and my understanding of the quote and maybe someone else out there could argue with me basically plans don’t especially in war and this isn’t quite war as much as I’d like to fetishize it and say it is a type of war it’s not but plans in war don’t follow a direct like once you hit battle it’s and that’s another thing like no plan survives first contact as soon as you go into battle the plans kind of get more you know thrown out the window if the planning and the process of trying to figure out all the contingencies that’s indispensable I feel like that’s way more true in business and I think this is the first time I’ve really done this kind of planning or I’m like okay well where do I want to be a month ahead of time two months ahead of time and then kind of work backwards and forwards and tried to figure out what I need to get done. So that’s what I did is I sat down with a coffee shop to sat down there and wrote all this out which is kind of nice I got out of my house. So it was a fresh perspective it’s a new coffee shop somewhere I’ve never been to kind of cool I get to try somewhere new it makes for a great Instagram post as well I have that on Instagram if you’re interested at Travis Marziani search me you’ll go to find me. So the other thing I found is the like a month ahead of time what I did is I try to do pretties precisely what I think I’m going to actually be able to get done then I started at the actual Kickstarter May th on I have a general landscape of what I’m going to do bigger principles but not specifics quite as much and then I just had some ideas for after the launch. So this is June it ends June th and you know I got some different stuff I want to do there I probably didn’t really do it I probably should have planned a vacation something that’s definitely needed and I think that’s an important thing that a lot of entrepreneurs tickets to do including myself especially myself is I forget to plan a vacation. So I want to actually and maybe I should do that now I need a plan a vacation a week or two afterwards and it’s it’s hard to do because you know that as soon as it’s

If it is a successful launch. So you’re going to wrap load of stuff to do but I think it’s important to have something to look forward to and to make sure you actually take the vacation I mean I’ve definitely burnt myself out many a time because I don’t take vacation. So that’s some of the stuff I did in today the other thing I’ll just recap a few other things to kind of get you up to speed I started outsourcing the x label it’s going to go into jars and influencers now a lot of the same artwork I’m going to use on the pouch and the box itself I actually finally just you know realize that I need I need to outsource this because I’m not a graphic designer in that such an important element of it and the cool thing is I can use that on. So my thing is my Kickstarter page I can use that on the obviously the x label that goes to the the influencers that’ll be like a wraparound on the jar and I can use it in on the boxes and the pouchy themselves. So that’s the other thing another thing I did is really started iterating upon my sales letter I call it the Kickstarter page and the message itself I’m a huge fan of this you’ve probably heard me talk about with some other episodes of this basically do something do version . it’s always scary and you always think oh I’m going to wait I’m going to wait I’m going to wait just sit down and do a really crappy version . and have an outline and then do version .

Fix all the really crummy looking things then version 1.0 I also just spent today responding some emails and emailing some different influencers what else would I do. So I’m looking at this list will see what I actually got done looking I’m going to paleo FX which is part of my during the actual Kickstarter part of my strategy is to go to that event and I’m gonna wear some kind of a shirt like a I think it’ll either say performance in that butter them on the or get free paleo snacks from me asking me about that or maybe I have that comment on the back I don’t know exactly yet I’m still working on that but I’m going to go there I’m going to hand out samples and this is in the middle of my Kickstarter I’m hoping to get the attention of some influencers also to get some people to actually just pay for it you know we’ll see how that goes that’s some of the big stuff I did today I think mistake I make and I think 100% of all humans make is not doing enough planning and I something I’m trying to work on is actually extracted aizen you know nobody very few people go into more and just say screw it let’s all just charge in there I mean there is I think a time in a place for that but if you can sit back and kind of look at what you did last week and see what you missed and try to figure out how you can improve this week that makes for a better life.
