Tips from the Masterminds and Post-VidCon Discussion | Vlog 3

To start off this vlog here’s some of the top tips from the e-commerce mastermind here at bulletproof café. Let’s grab tip would be to have good content that’s related to niche and it doesn’t have to be something that’s like picture of your office it should be related to niche and something that’s interesting I catching that people will get value from and then also network with other people within your space within your nation like make groups like make like comment groups like each other’s posts like comment on each other’s things together at the same time and that’s gonna make you grow that’s gonna give you more exposure and that’s gonna give you more hopefully go viral but not just like a whole another.

I’ll talk about that leaders you need a large network of big pages you know it’s called social read you need to make like the like you could DM people ask them hey are you part of a group already and if you just some might not even know what you’re talking about but the people who are enable know what you’re talking about just yeah message a lot of people and explore and network you just send a lot of messages. So my tip is for basically for those who are new inventors.

I recommend you make a chronology of everything you work on from the beginning. So that first you keep track of what you exams and what you’re planning to do and also this is a way to really and write down exactly what you did this way it is a record that if in the future someone questions whether or not you did this or it was your idea you can say yes on this date exactly I worked on this and I caught this person and all that. So it’s kind of a record keeping of the whole process of your investment all right I guess my top tip of the day is for anybody that works at home or internet-based business or you don’t go to an office it’s very easy to be distracted very easy to not be productive you have to actively get rid of your distractions such as hiding your phone hide the remote to the TV set a space in your house where you know minimum visual distractions or anything like that and stay focused on each project one at a time.

I think my top recent tip right after VidCon and. So there maybe that’s could be a way that we do it too is like each week like a new whatever I thought of this productivity yeah. So based on VidCon I’d say YouTube’s definitely video if not anything else is going to definitely be the future you when I was there it’s all like I said year old it’s the new younger generation and as opposed to snapchat which is very instantaneous and then disappears YouTube lives and actually that grows and.

So I think video is always gonna be or for the foreseeable future to be pretty big especially as our phones are getting faster the younger generation watches YouTube like crazy on their phone I’ve been in I don’t know if you guys have traveled like to Asia when I was in Japan and China like everybody’s just all they’re doing is like watching videos on their phone I think that’s going to continue to be huge but even more specifically my money’s on live-streaming I think I’ve been talking a lot on blog about this recently but my money’s on live-streaming being more and more of a part of YouTube and like just daily life I think that especially now as people get relatively more boring lives they want to live someone else’s live and I think the idea of you like live streaming your day is gonna be really big or live streaming like right now live streaming playing video games is huge it’s like really huge what you think why don’t I just play the video get myself know someone wants to watch someone else do it cuz they can do it better than they can and I think the same thing is gonna happen with life in a sense and you know I’ll say like I’m not the biggest Kanye West fan but I’d love to see what the day in the life of him is like and feels like say like you know whatever say what the hell’s going on here you know whatever talk with other people in the comments.

So my money’s on YouTube I was talking to you a little bit about that and then top of that live streaming all right the first time I want to do a recap of what happened at VidCon. So VidCon was fun it wasn’t as good as it was two years ago when I went for a number of different reasons that I’ll get into later but here’s some of the tips here’s some of the things that I’ve learned from VidCon number one live streaming is gonna be big I talked about this before in the last video the live streams I think gonna be really big I think I’m gonna build incorporated really well I might livestream some kind of like that a d challenge can I start a business in three days in the live stream all three days or maybe even another thirty day challenge and live stream all of those days I don’t know exactly what I’m gonna do yet with that but nothing else I might get q and A’s very similar this where I can set it up where it’s like hey some questions and answers on e-commerce related stuff in fact I’ll probably do that pretty soon.

So here’s some of the other lessons learned about with the with the live streaming you want some kind of an agenda because people aren’t gonna join right away. So you want some kind of an agenda even before just to start it off and then definitely post those that’s some of the big things other than live streaming probably I don’t think I got a lot from it I did meet up with Stefan casting very nice guy very happy to meet up with him a smart guy taught me a lot about YouTube another thing he said I think I already mentioned this is make sure all your YouTube video is linked to other YouTube videos not really a big thing I’m not a big surprise there but like I wasn’t I wasn’t doing it. So I think another lesson learned is that I need to go through all my effective e-commerce videos and try to figure out how to make them better that’s gonna happen in a few weeks but just some some side note. So this is actually Tuesday I didn’t do a vlog yesterday or Sunday I took those days off and it was actually hard for me to take Monday off because well you know it’s.

Monday everyone’s supposed to be working but I was just still burnt out suddenly was a nice day off but because I was work because I work Saturday I ended up taking Monday off I think when you work for yourself I think that is one of the benefits is you can take days off but it’s like fully letting go and saying hey I’m take this day off nothing said it’s not getting laid around and watch TV I understood a bunch of random things around the house that needed to be done like cleaning out some drawers basically organizing some things. So enough about that today I didn’t do it yesterday but I usually do it on Mondays I do a Monday review and I ask myself about five questions and then I also do a monthly review in a quarterly review that’s a little bit more in-depth but every Monday I do this. So I asked myself what was the most impactful thing I did last week.

So if the last week it was going to VidCon then I say how could I made last week better and a big thing is another lesson learned from VidCon is still with a group of people or trying to get other people trying to see who else is going and trying to meet up with them. So we can go out to dinner. So I just a little bit of noise outside.

So we can meet up with them go out to dinners they can introduce me to other people from now on any time I’m doing something like that I need to make sure I know at least from another person there it’s just nice to have a buddy with you that you know you can always fall back to. So that was followed the biggest mistake I made I’m gonna say I don’t even know if VidCon was worth it I may or may not go next year if you’re watching this video and you want to go to VidCon email me and let’s get a crew together let’s conviction wasn’t bad it was just there were.

So many young people there even. So the way the structures are three different floors there’s the bottom floor which is all the community members all the fans basically the middle floor which is the creators. So it’s people that are trying to up up-and-coming creators but most most of them this year were like years old to and that’s just you know I don’t have a lot to relate with them as you can tell them x star Marlon I am starting my own businesses and they’re still in high school. So not a lot of late time and there’s the industry top floor which does have some benefits but even with them there’s a little bit of a disconnect there on a different side of things. So that being said definitely next time I need to do I need to go with a group of people but on top of that I would say. So other questions I ask. So what some lessons learned I also have what’s the most impactful thing I can do this weekend there’s some one of the reasons I am blogging it.

So I can say it out loud I can hold myself accountable and even the two years from now I can look back and say oh I didn’t do that or oh I did do that and I think by having this accountability of saying it on a camera it’s gonna it’s gonna need more talent anyways I would sort of number one thing they need to do this week I want to at least get the process started for the artwork for the pouches in the boxes of performance nut butter I think I just need to hire someone I’ve been trying to use one of my employees at pee dance where on Thursday I’m gonna go in and I’m gonna see how far they are that’ll be much longer if by Thursday.

We can’t make significant progress I’m just gonna hire somebody and just get it done with it’s hard to hire someone because I know that it’s not that complicated it’s not it’s not that hard to do like yeah I have all the basic pieces already. So the higher someone’s kind of kind of scares me but whatever if that’s what needs to be done that’s what needs to be done anyways. So that’s um one thing some other things I mean set up the scanner bar system which is gonna be huge. So every time someone gets a scanner bar at a new station they can scan it in and it can and I’ll be able to track how much work we’re getting done how much cutting sewing how many items were being produced and it’s going to help a lot with metrics I’m gonna be able to figure out a lot of things including how productive each individual person is how productive the whole new dance for a facility is. So that way if I’m not there which I’m really not there I can still check in and say hey we had a huge dip in productivity what happened and how can we fix it and there’s an old saying what gets measured gets improved and. So I want to start measuring our productivity basically. So let’s see what else.

So that’s some of the other stuff that needs to get done I need to get undated for Amazon I might even livestream that probably Knox’s plugin be pretty boring I’ll at least do some screen recordings of that that’s the big things also Friday I’m going doing a barbell business podcast very excited about that that’s down close to San Diego. So one of the other things I want to do is do some research and figure out figure out what studies back performance not better because I know performance no butter is good for you and I know it’s because the monounsaturated fats and this this and the other thing but I want studies at the will and all the more knowledge I want to become one of the number one experts on nuts and nut butters and why it’s healthy for you. So that’s any other thing. So just to give you a breakdown of what’s going on this week.

So today I’m about to I’m gonna go to gossip do some gossipy stuff which is a bit helps to like kind of get your body back into alignment it’s a it was talked about them for our body but it really helps with pain management basically I’ve had some shoulder issues and some hip issues. So I’m gonna do that then I’m gonna go to the bulletproof cafe for a meet up and maybe some lung planning as well then I’m gonna go for a run on the beach do maybe a little swim in the ocean and let’s see what else yeah some some exercise out there then I’m going to come back and depending on how I feel and what I think I need to get done either do something work or go do something Jitsu and I’ve been doing jiu-jitsu my goal is to do just shoot three times a week I’m not gonna film a lot of that because it’s you know it’s probably pretty boring if you guys are really interested I can film something there’s also a lot of people there and they don’t want me to film them. So that’s a big reason why I don’t film it as well. So with that being said let’s get started with the day a lot of good things going on today I’m gonna start trying to do if you’re ever in the LA Santa Monica area I’m gonna start doing meetups all the time at least once a week on Tuesdays at two o’clock because if you’re a serious entrepreneur you can potentially make two o’clock but if you’re a nine-to-five worker you can’t make the two o’clock on Tuesday. So it kind of serves as a filter to get rid of everybody that’s I don’t want to be there and that might even Institute a $5 if you don’t have an e-commerce store there’s a $5 charge but I’ll let my friends waive that and if you’re if you’re watching this and you’re not trying to sell something basically to filter out people that are trying to sell things. So that being said let’s get started with the day part of the problem of trying to start and filming YouTube videos is getting used to all your equipment or having a little bit of issue with the white balance currently. So I forgot about the biggest lesson I learned from VidCon is that you should be doing more live streaming. So we’re gonna set up a little camera thing here I hope with my phone super ghetto but that’s okay yeah pretty strapped together but anyways we’ll be live-streaming that on the DJ Jay watch Channel obviously that’s having this post you can it’ll be too late but you can go to the BJJ WOD Channel and you can see the livestream just finished filming for the BJJ WOD YouTube channel cleaning up a little bit back here a lot of things went really good the live-streaming went really well get a lot of people commenting if you want to watch the videos it’s all on the BJJ WOD channel live streamed not gonna put too much of that in here because you guys probably aren’t interested in that but I’m nice and exhausted I’m sure Tim’s even more tired than I am.

So see Tim Watts because he does Jiu Jitsu all day every day. So he’s got a lot of energy but anyways that’s pretty much it for today tomorrow I’m going to be doing more planning for q3 kind of reflecting on what happened in q2 won’t went well and what did not go. So well.
