First Day Call Hiring a Virtual Assistant

 

In this video, I am going to be showing you the first day of me hiring two assistants. I am going to be showing you what my Skype calls with them look like. Now, I adjusted the process in hiring these people and my new process is a little bit better. But, let me show you what I used to do. Mary:    Oh, okay. I’ will turn on my camera.

Mary:    Sorry. I am at my parent’s house.

Travis: Okay. So, are you on a laptop?

Mary:    Yeah.

Travis:  You usually use a desktop, though, right?

Mary:    Yeah.

Travis: Are you connecting Dropbox to the laptop or to the desktop?

Mary:    I have a laptop for the Dropbox.

Travis: Okay. You might want to connect the Dropbox to the desktop because you are going to be doing a lot of video editing and stuff and it might be easier doing it on a desktop than on a laptop.

Mary:    Okay. All right. Okay.

Travis:  How big is – Do you pay for Dropbox or do you have the free version?

Mary:    I do have the paid version.

Travis:  Oh, you have the premium version.

Mary:    Yeah.

Travis: Oh. We will figure it out. Because the other thing is, I wonder if you could have two Dropboxes? I know you can definitely have two accounts, like two different window accounts or whatever and like maybe like a work account and a fun account. Then they can have the fun (more…)

How to Set Up Your First Ad Using AdWords

In this video, I am going to show you how to create an AdWords campaign. An AdWords ad will do all the work right here so if you have never created a campaign before you are probably going to when you log into AdWords and see a screen like this.

So go ahead and click “Create Your First Campaign.” In this video, I am also going to show you all of the tips and tricks that a lot of people leave out but that are very important. So for this one, I am creating an ad or I am creating a campaign called Yoga Pants. I might change that to Yoga Pants Colors. You will see why in a second. So, as we scroll down you see Google Search Network, include Search Partners sure but we do not want the Display Network so we are going to click up here and go to Search Network Only. All right.

So, Google Search includes Search Partners that is fine devices ad will show on all eligible. We do not want that so we will come back later and we will fix that. For me, I only want United States so I am going to click there Bid Strategy Maximum. I am just going to put a dollar amount right now. It is artificial and then five dollars per day which is what I recommend if you have never done AdWords before. That is probably like a pretty typical amount. Some of the cool things you can do are these different extensions. The site links extensions pretty good. That is a different video though that is out there. How to Use the Facebook Ads Power Editor

In this video, we are going to talk about the power editor so the first thing to do is to actually get there. You can get there by clicking up here and going to Power Editor. Power Editor has a lot of very powerful tools that the regular Ads Manager does not. In fact, a lot of the time when they roll out new features, they will have it come out first in power editor and then later in ad manager – maybe never in just Ads Manager. In fact, lead ads, which if you watch a lot of my videos, you know that is one of my favorite, favorite types of Facebook ads. They originally came out in Power Editor and then later came out in Ads Manager. They never come out originally in Ads Manager. So, now we are here in Power Editor. There are a few things to know. One is if you make a change here you have to review the change and then you can add it. So, I have this campaign Test Website Clicks. Let’s go ahead and say – let’ say I wanted to edit this (Test Ad Edit women 45 – 60). Then say I wanted to make it 30 and adjust the budget. You would see it says Review Changes – It is having some issues there but basically the moral, the story is you see it says Review Changes, so you have to Review Changes and Continue before it will actually get set up in Ads Manager.

How to Use Custom Audiences and Audience Insights

In this video, I am going to talk about audiences, how to create an audience and also audience insights. Basically, I am going to show you how to create an audience and there are several different ways you can do that. Then, I am going to show you how powerful audience insights are when you are looking for a future particular target and you are looking for what makes people similar. For instance, one thing I am about to do is I am going to upload my customer list and then I am going to look at audience insights.

So, I already have a customer list from a little while ago, but I am going to do a fresh one. Normally you would not have to do that. You could just add to the existing list. But, for the purposes of this video, I am going to create a new one. So, I am going to create a new Custom Audience. Then create a new Custom File. Choose a File or Copy and Paste This Data and choose Email. Go to a File and – Actually, check Copy. It is pretty big so I am going to Copy and Paste.  So, here are my files. I am not going to share too much. I need to go to another screen for the purposes of this. What I am doing, I am doing both the phone number and the email address. You can see their phone number.

I am only going to show the first 20. There are actually around 8,000 or 9,000. Do phone number and email. So, it is uploading. So far, 3,955 rows have been uploaded. How I Give Tasks to My Virtual Assistants aka VAs

 

In this video, I will show you how I give tasks to my virtual assistants. This is a question I get all the time. Let me show you both the Virtual Assistant Task Spreadsheet, which is one of the ways I use to communicate, and the videos that I show to my virtual assistants, which is the other way.

So, let’s start with the Virtual Assistant Task Spreadsheet because this is very important. You will see that I have a few different columns here:  Task, Task Description, Due Date, etc. You will see I have one column hidden right now. I will explain later why that is hidden. For now, I will show you Due Date, Priority, Progress, and Notes. ‘

For the most part, the Task, Task Description and Priority are the most important columns. I have a three-point priority system. If it is a Priority 1, it needs to be done right away. So, this one, for instance, is a priority one. This means I want it done before any of the other tasks. Priority 2 is slightly lower, so try to get all the Priority 1’s done first and then go to the Priority 2 tasks. Then, if you have time left, go to the Priority 3’s. This does not mean that the Priority 3 tasks are not important. It just means that they are not time sensitive or maybe they are not quite as important.

As you can see here, I have a bunch of different tasks but let’s use this one as an example:  Add Amazon Color Based Ads. I am doing ads for Amazon and here you will see it says, “Watch ‘Make the Color Specific Ads for Amazon.’” Within my Dropbox, I have a “VA” folder. I will show you what it looks like. How to Figure Out How Many Sales You Get for Which Product on Amazon

 

In this video, I am going to show you how to find out what items and how many items have sold through Amazon. So, first of all, it is pretty much no matter where you are, go up to the Business, then Business Reports. I believe, let’s double check. Yes, that is right. Then you are going to go to Detail Page Sales and Traffic. You can actually change the range here. So, this is last month. First of all, you can see that we sold 31 of these items. We probably want to start stocking more of them. We can look down and see what items we want to actually add into FDA. We do not want all of our items in FDA.

One of the things we could do here is changing the Date Range. So, let’s say we want to go all the way back from the point where we started selling on Amazon. We can create the graph and you can see All­­­­­­­ Rights. The order is descending. Then, we can look through this. We might even find things that we are not selling on Amazon doing Amazon Prime. If we want to, we can go through and look at it. This is really helpful.

You can also see things like your Session Percentage, Percentage of Paid Views – all kinds of different things. You can see what percentage of people actually purchased your product, how many sessions, how many times people come to your page and view it. And, then, from there you can figure out total product sales. This is very helpful when trying to figure out what items to actually sell on Amazon.

5 Ways to Get Links To Your Site White Hat Link Building

 

In this video, I am going to show you five ways to get links to your website, to your eCommerce store. They are all White Hat techniques. I do not do any of that Black Hat stuff. If you do not know why this is important, it is important because the more links, the more high quality links you have coming to your site,  the higher up it is going to be on Google.  I talk more about that in a video I have down below on Off-Page SEO and Link Building(Is this the correct video?) You will find the link down below. Be sure to get that.

Let’s get to the five techniques right now.  Number 1, Get Blogs Posting About You. Not surprising. If you can get blogs posting about you, it is going to be helpful.  Number 2 is Competitor Research. Figure out where your competitors are getting links from other people’s websites to their websites. If you can do that, you can actually copy a lot of what they are doing. Number 3 is Guest Posts. If you do not know what a guest post is, it is basically where you post on someone else’s blog, someone else’s website and you can insert links to your website at the same time. Number 4 is PR and Press Releases. This is a good way to get websites, newspapers, and magazines talking about you, talking about what you are doing in your business and eventually, you will get some links back to your site as well. How to Boost a Post with Facebook Ads

 

I am going to show you how to boost a post with Facebook Ads. So, I am actually doing a video. I also have a call to action – Get You Free 116 Page DIY Guide Here. And when they go there, let me show you where it would take them. It will take them to a landing page I made using lead pages. Something very special about this is I have it tracked up here so you can see the UTM tracking I have. This is so in Google Analytics I know that this was from a Facebook ad and I can see what the conversion rate is. Just because people click on it, does not mean that they actually convert. So, when they click on the free book, they have to put their email in and once they go through all the processes, I can see whether or not they converted.

So, let’s get back into the actual How to Boost the Post. Now that I have that. The first time I click Publish and it takes me to Create an Offer. All right so since this is a video, I have to fill in the stuff. So, I am going to fill this stuff in really quick. So, this is actually the first time I have seen this where it says Turn Your Posts Into an Offer. I am not going to do that right now. Right now this is just a video. So, no thank you. OK. PR and Press Release Tips for Your Business

 

In this video, I am going to talk about PR and Press Releases for your Ecommerce Store. Why use PR? Well, because it is “free” publicity. You can get your business into newspapers, magazines, blogs, and things like that. It is pretty much free. I mean, it is free publicity for your business which is pretty awesome. On top of that, blogs, newspapers, magazines, all that kind of stuff – they want a new story. They want something interesting that they can tell their readers. If you give it to them, they will love you for it. So, in this video, I am going to give you a few tips on how you accomplish that.

How to Get a Story

Well, here are some tips on how to get a story. You need to realize that online blogs and online newspapers (pretty much every newspaper has an online portion) have infinite space for making money and infinite space for advertisements. They way that it works for them is they make money per 1,000 impressions.  For every 1,000 impressions they make roughly about $1.00. So, if they release 1,000 articles and each one gets 1,000 impressions, they make $1,000. If they release 10,000 articles and each one gets 1,000 impressions, they make $10,000. So, there is not really much downside for them releasing your article as long as they think it is going to do decently well. In the past, magazines only had so much space and only had so many pages they could fill and a newspaper could only be so big. That is not the case anymore. There is literally infinite space available so they want to write about you and they always want a new story.

How to Save Your Audience with Facebook Ads and Use a Saved Audience

 

I am going to talk about how to save your audience. This is really helpful if you are using similar audiences over and over again. It makes it so you can simply click your Saved Audience button, find your Saved Audience and go from there.

One of the Saved Audiences I have is Dance Studio Owners. When I click on that, it will automatically populate Interests, Age, Dance Studio Owner, Age, whatever.

Let’s go back and I will show you how to actually make that Saved Audience. One thing you might want to do is combine a bunch of custom audiences and I will show you exactly what that would be. So, I have Dance Studio Customers, VIPs – I might want to include my entire customer list from Volusion. Then I might want to add everyone who has ever bought from me, and on top of that, I might want to add one of my competitors. For this specific Audience that I am going to do, I am going to Browse, go to Demographics, Work, Job Titles, and I will type in Dance Teacher.  Then I can go through and add a bunch of others as well. Add Connection Type. No, I am not going to use that one. Then, all I have to do is Save This Audience. I am going to call this audience Test Audience. So, that has been saved. That is it.

Now, if you go into your Audiences, you will see your new Test Audience.

This is a super handy thing that you can do. I use the same audience pretty much every time, or I have a few variations of the same audience. So, I definitely recommend that you save your audiences. Otherwise, you will spend a lot of time going through and trying to figure out the (more…)
