VidCon 2017 Top Secrets and Tips Learned | Vlog 2

Vlog 4 heading off to VidCon today had to come back I forgot my samples of Performance Nut Butter for people to try got him alright now it’s time to VidCon I finally got here to VidCon I’m walking over there instead of paying for parking I just parked for free at the residential area and then walk over to the Convention Center it’s about a 15 minute walk. So bad and to be honest I probably could have parked closer I parked all the way down there. So anyways let’s get inside soon and start networking and learning how to film better videos for you guys.

So this is an update on day one of VidCon my pass right here and just kind of like all lessons learned everything I’ve learned from VidCon. So there’s a lot a lot of different things learn and apply one is I did get footage of everything because it’s just sometimes it’s awkward to bring a camera for instance I had dinner and some decent on time talking with Stefan testing of gravel arts.com. So shout out to him very nice guy very smart guy if you’re into jiu-jitsu if you’re into grappling and all wrestling anything like that where you’re just interested in learning definitely check out this channel I’ll put a link down below I’ll turn to the link in the info cards as well on top of that. So here’s some of the big things I learned though I’d say that there’s probably three top things and the number one thing though the most excited about is YouTube live I talked to a guy one of the questions.

I always ask and I recommend is you charge figure out what kind of questions you could ask people when you’re looking for advice but one of the questions I always like to ask people that have some kind of success in any field that at least it deals with in the digital marketing world is was there any big inflection points for instance you have a podcast to make it’s ,100000 downloads per episode what were the big jumps what happened that really spiked those groves because a lot of people tell you things like well you know just got to keep working at it that’s not really a tip that’s not really a trick I want to know what was the day you saw the biggest jump in numbers and then it continued to grow and this is a question I always ask people and the answer I got from someone.

I really like um there there’s a few different things but anyway the one guy I asked them what are the biggest jumps you saw and the first answer he gave me it’s pretty normal pretty boring but that means it’s probably pretty important in pretty relevant and that was a from a bigger YouTuber a bigger YouTuber mention him in a video and then he got a big spike in traffic. So collaboration this is a take away I’m going to I’m going to use for this defective e-commerce channel for Performance Nut Butter for all those I really want you to collaborate with bigger companies and even the same size companies and possibly smaller companies that have a really strong following for effective ecommerce on the top of every single digital marketer.

I can in the YouTube space and try to I mean try to basically get them. So they’ll let me put a video on their channel and make their day on my channel and we cross policy. So that is a standard answer and I never move my hand a lot then it’s a standard answer that a lot of people give the same thing that he said was more interesting to me he said YouTube live he did a 10-day stream. So he played Minecraft and if you don’t know what Minecraft is I’ve never really played it but it’s a thing of almost a video game where you can build things out of like oh my way go block type of a feel to it very interesting there’s a little dig following a lot of Youtubers are basically you recording themselves play this video game and other people are watching it on YouTube it’s a huge saying anyway he was one of them I forget how many followers he had of it was either , or , or somewhere in that realm what’s pretty big but it’s a Minecraft space if not he’s not one of the top guys but anyway he said that he recorded himself for 30 days straight his character just sailing on I guess there’s like a water world that his character is just sailing in the water for days straight and he’d get on the microphone everyone’s on t top if they loved a lot of this and lalala best but he said that was a huge jump because YouTube cares about the total watch time in a video and if you have 10 days’ worth of recording and someone watches for 15 minutes here in 20 minutes here in 30 minutes here you have.

So much total watch time accumulated over those 10 days but that one video could have in whatever 100 days of watch time or a normal video to get days of watch time it would have to mean that the hundreds of thousands of people watch it but you’re able to do the same things if it’s over and day. So one thing I’m going to try doing specifically for effective e-commerce is live streaming meet building an online store. So maybe I’ll do a competition kind can I build a store in three days what about or maybe even the 30 days something like that relaxing every single second of every single day and I can point the camera in a corner and I will decide that I’m sleeping right now I’m sleeping I thought oh whatever record myself sleeping or if it’s if I were to do my Kickstarter over again I’d live streaming the entire thing and put it on the on the screen we’ll all sleeping I feel like a little doubt saying I’m sleeping currently but like watch the ticker as it goes up and maybe even the backer report which shows who’s posted and that might encourage people that are watching to pledge and their name would be on that.

So that’s some of the big takeaways I say another thing is that YouTube really wants people to stay on YouTube. So I’m going to start on all my videos linking to other videos. So the info cards will link to other videos and it’s them they said no it might be on this side I didn’t know right now I’m about to go to I’m about to go to a big comment again but this is like I said recap of day one of VidCon if you ever get the chance to go to this film I highly recommend it there’s a few conferences that are 100% worth and I’d say that is one of them. So thank you guys for watching this video if you like what I’m doing here please click that subscribe button I have more videos on how to videos about all kinds of I’m at more blog videos coming out if you like the blog videos to let me know in the comments down below let me know what you like about them what you don’t like about on how I can improve them on top of that you can click up here or up here it’s one of these sides you can get my free ecommerce success pack which includes checklist on half starting e-commerce or it includes a virtual assistant guide how to hire a virtual assistant literally it’s step by step everything I know about that including questions asked from an interview how to find them how to they won what to do with them everything I know about how to hire a virtual assistant is in their checklist for starting your own Kickstarter all that it’s one of these two sides.
